Will I see a world that does not believe in God in my lifetime?

This endless debate on the existence of a "God" is so old and tiresome. Why do believers cherry pick the science they want to believe in. We can prove so much now with regards to the start of life on our planet, and indeed the start of our planet itself. How long will it take for people to realize religion is incorrect. I want to live in a world that accepts the truth and have all the killing in the name of a make believe deity a thing of the past. Will I see that in my lifetime?
