Each year billions of dollars around the globe are poured into mainstream cancer research. However, we still do not have effective treatments for metastatic disease. Surgery and methods of detection are improving. Thanks to this we have people who live the rest of their lives cancer free. Outcomes are tragically different for those who have a metastatic disease.
