How did the Somalis acquired Shoulder-launched Multipurpose ault Weapon?

I know there is a UN weapon's embargo on Somalia, but my travel there last month told me otherwise. A country I thought I would find nothing but old weapons became a modern-day weapon Wall-Mart. How did they get all these weapons?
