Why Common is not a sellout...?

I guess I agree, my opinion on whether or not he is a sell out changes almost daily but oddly enough does not change his position as one of my favorites. As for the Lily Allen argument, her fans aren't primarily pre-teen girls, the fact that Common did a song with a boy band pretty much pissed me off. But the thing about Common is he has always switched up his style and did what he wanted despite what "hip hop heads" thought about it and in most cases the changes didn't make him more money. His track record shows that he is just about trying new things not necessarily "selling out" for more money.
