Does this election show that, as a species, we are not going forward too much?

If Obama wins the cons are going to spend the whole time trying to obstruct progress & take the focus of the important to the petty...so the can bring on what ever big words they learn & we can all go through the process explaining to them why they are being ridiculous or we can see them for what they are & accept them & focus on the military & other people who really need us to focus on them. We have a tremendous amount of new homeless now..so unemployed, uninsured, etc...so we can look in the rear view mirror or get on track & move forward.
